Scribble while you wriggle

This week we have a new scribble to learn while we wriggle. We have used charcoal to create the scribble, We have also used paint, torches and wavers.

3D shapes

Our challenge today was to play the shape guessing game. We took it in turns to describe a shape to our friends and they had to guess which shape had been chosen.
The next part of the challenge was to make a model using the 3D shapes.

Writing our sounds

Today, our group practised writing the sound ‘b’. Our teacher asked us to write the sound on a balloon. It was tricky at first but we had fun practising.

3D shapes

Class One are learning the names of the 3D shapes this week. We used the large construction to create the shapes and help us to describe them.

St David’s Day

Today was a special day for Class One as we celebrated St David’s Day. We dressed in traditional costume.

Each group made Welsh cakes. We weighed the ingredients and all helped each other.

Everyone tried weaving a placemat using coloured paper.

In class we talked about the daffodil and made models using play dough and some of us painted pictures of daffodils.

Squibble while you wriggle

This week we have been learning how to write our squibble using wavers.

Coloured rice, torches and chalk.

Ric a Do

Today we had a visit from Ric a Do. We learnt Welsh songs in each class, Class One learnt a song about a primrose. At the end of the day every class sang their song to each other. Everyone had a marvellous time.

Hands on Literacy

In our learning this week we have been learning how to copy patterns.

Walk along or next to a line.

Jump and catch bubbles.

Jigsaw challenge

In our Read Write Inc lessons we have Challenge time.  Our challenge was to complete the jigsaw.  We worked as a team.  The jigsaw was tricky but we did not give up.
